    BEYOND ACADEMICS

CO-CURRICULAR AMENITIES

Photography
Students can enjoy a photography club equipped with a processing room. Keen members are taught the finer skills of photography, as well as the developing, fixing and printing processes. Digital designing is also incorporated in the photography curriculum.

Bands
The School has a variety of bands which are permanent fixtures during the Founder’s Day celebration and other important school and local functions. These units are administered and trained by professional Band masters who have retired from the Defence Services. The students learn to play these instruments from Standard IV.

Gymnasium
The School has an ultramodern gymnasium with an impressive range of equipment and indoor sports facilities, and a half sized Olympic pool for race meets and diving.

Mountaineering
The Mountaineering Club has been set up at school to impart technical training to the students of Standard IV onwards. The training is given by instructors from the Aamby Valley Adventure Academy and matched to stringent safety protocols.

Campus Publications
Students are encouraged to assist with school publications that reflect the quality of academic life and participation in campus programmes.
Our main publication, Planet ISA, provides a comprehensive coverage of the School year. This annual magazine records and features details of important functions in the School’s calendar - the Founder’s Day Celebrations, the Co-curricular and Sports competitions, and other events. It also provides information on the academic achievements of students who have excelled in school or international examinations. Planet ISA is sent to all the parents and guardians of the School.
The Alumni association will become increasingly active in future years, and will publish its own annual newsletter, ISAians. All publications will be designed and printed at the press located on the School campus.

Clubs
The Humanitarian Club is patronized by the Rotary Club of Lonavala and the club undertakes social welfare projects in and around Lonavala. Our Humanitarians take part in the afforestation programme and also participate in sustainable development programmes in the district.
Other hobby clubs in our school include: the Art Club, the Debating Club, the Equestrian Club, the Literary Club, the Modelling and Crafts Club, the Nature Club, and Philately Club.

Students are instructed in Western and Indian classical Music, with specialized training in piano, percussion, recorder, violin, classical guitar, trumpet, the euphonium and a variety of wind and wood instruments. The Music department is upgraded and modernized every academic year. The department has its own symphony and concert bands.
